Tyre Price List in Malaysia from Tek Ming

Here are some of the tyre prices for your  reference! Obtained them from Tek Ming. Tek Ming Tyre Shop is located in Sunway. Their prices may not be the cheapest, but service is pretty decent. If you aren't buying rims perhaps it is worth it to visit there, rather than driving all the way to Klang for cheaper tyres. I heard Shah Alam also have some pretty good rim and tyre deals! The pricelist contains mostly Silverstone tyre prices and also Goodyear tyre prices.

Proton Saga BLM with Audi A4 modification!

Well, actually this Proton Saga BLM just had a simple grille makeover with the Audi logo slapped on it. Along with the LED strip on the headlamp, front skirtings, and also a Audi style paint job, this Proton Saga BLM actually looks like an Audi! Maybe if you had 20/50 vision and also 3 pints of Jägerbomb this Saga would look like the real "thang"!

Tyre Shop Review: Lim Tayar TTDI Malaysia (Taman Tun Dr. Ismail)

Tyre Shop Name: Lim Tayar TTDI

Address:
Taman Tun Dr. Ismail Lot 41313, Pinggir Zaaba, Taman Tun Dr. Ismail, 60000 Kuala Lumpur.
Phone : 03-7727 7377 Fax : 03-7727 8788

First and foremost, this isn't my review! Some good chap on Lowyat.net decided to share his experience and I am just here sharing what he shared. However please do not let one negative tyre review determine the tyre shop's rating, as it may be a chance of bad luck.

For those of you out there, be wary when you change new tyres. One of my friend recently changed all 4 tyres on his Toyota Avanza, and was unlucky enough to acquired random nails on the 2nd day. When he went back to the tyre shop, they allowed him to purchase a NEW tyre for just RM100. What would happen to the OLD tyres? My guess is they would patch it back, somehow get OEM markers on them and resell as new. This is just my assumption, please do give the tyre shops in Malaysia benefit of doubt when patronizing them! I have been to a few decent tyre shops in Malaysia. Just holler for a recommendation!

Here is the excerpt from the thread:

I am here to share my experience with Lim Tayar TTDI~~~~ (TOTAL RUBBISH)

I was at Lim Tayar on the 29th January 2014 to remove some nails on my tyre in the morning. Just like normal I sat there and waited for my car to be fixed.

5 minutes later, one of the mechanics said, Boss can come over for a moment.  Hmm So I walked to my car...

Buying a 2014 Perodua Alza 1.5 Advance Edition?

The 2014 Perodua Alza comes across as one of the cheaper MPVs available in Malaysia, with a price starting from RM52,000 for the basic 2014 Perodua Alza standard in manual transmission. The 2014 Perodua Alza has also just undergone a minor facelift as well, so potential buyers will b getting a sleeker MPV.

In terms of fuel consumption, based on research the Perodua Alza can give you 10-12km/L in 50% city and 50% urban, and up to 14km/L for highway cruise. Pretty decent! Everything is looking great for the Perodua Alza!

Lets focus on the best of the range though, the 2014 Perodua Alza Advance Edition, priced at RM64,000. What is so advance, and does it justify the extra RM9,000 over the standard Perodua Alza automatic transmission variant?

The full potential of the Perodua Alza unleashed. This is as good as it gets!

Looks a bit like a Volvo wagon from the rear.

For the extra money, you'll get:

Oops! Sorry wrong picture. I mean you'll the following instead:

  • Body kit
  • 6 inch multimedia touch screen system
  • GPS navigation
  • Reverse camera
  • Leather seats

Some finer touches here and there:

The interior looks pretty decent, however for those who are expecting to seat 7 comfortable you might get a little disappointed. The last row of seats in the Perodua Alza are probably suitable for kids or stunted adults only. On the plus side, there are nifty item holders tucked away conveniently.
